BANK PO EXAM PATTERN, SYLLABUS AND ELIGIBILITY

BANK PO EXAM CRITERIA ANA PATTERN:
Full form of PO is Probationary Officer is an Assistant Manager Of Scale-1 in a bank. SBI conduct its PO exam. Other banks PO exam is conducted by a board called IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection).
BANK PO SYLLABUS AND EXAM PATTERN:
Bank PO Exam Divided in three Phases. The first two phases is written exam. First written exam is called preliminary exam and second written exam is called mains exam. The third step is interview. After getting selected in these three phases a merit list is generated by the board based on the candidate’s performance. The one who passed in this is finally selected for the post of PO.
SYLLABUS:
The preliminary exam is divided into three sections:
1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Reasoning and Verbal Ability
3. English
The mains exam contain 5 sections
1. General Awareness
2. Computer Knowledge
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning and Verbal Ability

BANK PO SALARY
The basic pay of a SBI PO is Rs 23700. In additional the officer also eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rental Allowance (HRA), and Special Allowance etc.The total salary now become Rs 40,239.
BANK PO ELIGIBILITY:
Age Criteria: 21 – 30 years age relaxation as per government rule.
Education: Graduation from any recognized university in India.
ROLE OF A BANK PO:
A PO is trained on multiple verticals such as finance, accounting, billing, and investment etc. during his / her probation period in order to acquaint them with various working procedures of the bank. This is basically done by entrusting them with responsibilities and jobs in these categories.
The main purpose of the bank is to provide optimal service to its customers. A PO has to make sure that the business of the bank keeps on increasing by tending to the banks’ customers properly by handling customer complaints, addressing various customer related issues such as discrepancies in accounts, rectification of undue charges etc.
When they get acclimatized to the banks’ norms they are provided with more serious responsibilities such as planning, budgeting, loan processing, investment management etc.
